James is New Homes Director for the South East, working across our offices in Surrey, Hampshire, Sussex and Kent from his base in Guildford.

He advises property developers of all sizes on how to maximise their site performance, offering tailored sales and marketing strategies. While his focus is on SMEs, he helps clients with a broad range of properties, from small new-build plots to large, high-end developments.
His career in property began in Haslemere in 1999, before he worked across Surrey and internationally, including time in Spain, France and Switzerland. He joined Strutt & Parker in 2011, where he managed the Haslemere office for several years before specialising in new homes. Originally trained as a chef, James was tempted to a career change by the glamour of property, along with rather more sociable hours.
Haslemere in Surrey is where James calls home, loving its outstanding countryside and proximity to the coast, while remaining within commutable distance of London. James has a sporting family and spends a good deal of his free time ferrying them between fixtures and events. When time allows, he follows Arsenal, skis, plays golf, and gets to the gym.
