Funding for land or farms

England

This overarching Environmental Land Management (ELM) scheme rewards environmentally conscious practices in farming, forestry, and land management, and includes the Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI), Countryside Stewardship (CS) and Landscape Recovery. Our specialists are well-versed in the complexities of these schemes and their application process, and help clients with strategic planning, application management, and ongoing compliance. We can also advise on applications to Higher Tier Countryside Stewardship and support applications for capital grants through the Farming Investment Fund.

Scotland

We provide comprehensive support to farmers in Scotland to enable them to access the different tiers of funding available through the Rural Support Plan, including providing guidance on compliance with Whole Farm Plan requirements. For land managers implementing conservation projects or taking steps to tackle climate change, we can unlock opportunities through the Agri-Environment Climate Scheme.

Wales

Our teams of rural experts can advise on the Sustainable Farming Scheme, which aims to balance food production with caring for the environment. We can also advise on and manage applications for the full range of capital grants schemes which are available in Wales.

Beyond agri-environment schemes

There are hundreds of subsidies, schemes and grants available to farmers at national and local levels, and knowing which are right for your business requires industry expertise, operational knowledge and strategic oversight. Our specialist teams advise on all available conservation schemes throughout the UK and can ensure agreements are structured to deliver environmental benefits without disrupting efficient farming, and consider the practical implications, constraints, and costs.
