From farmers and estate owners to individuals and organisations looking to acquire or dispose of rural property, Douglas helps clients across the Scottish farm, estate and rural landscape.

A RICS registered valuer, Douglas entered the property industry in 2012 with a degree in building surveying, before a longstanding passion for farming led him to retrain as a rural practice surveyor. Once in that role, it became clear that his strengths lay in brokerage, and he brought those skills to Strutt & Parker in 2019.

The variety and quality of the Scottish landscape is something Douglas speaks about with genuine conviction, and he takes real pleasure in working across some of the most beautiful and varied countryside in the world.

Life outside of work is largely shaped by two young sons, and time away from the office is happily spent with his family. When the opportunity arises, Douglas can be on the golf course, playing football, watching sports, or catching up with friends and family.
