Helen de Burton

She works primarily with downsizers looking to move from larger country properties with land and outbuildings to something closer to family, and has a particular talent for matching buyers to their perfect properties: she has been known to engineer house swaps by introducing upsizers to downsizers.

Her career in property began in January 2016, when she joined Strutt & Parker, drawn by a love of houses and, perhaps even more so, gardens. Working in the West Country, she knew she would encounter some exceptional examples of both, and that shared enthusiasm with sellers has proved to be one of her greatest professional assets. Working on everything from small thatched cottages to large new builds, it’s the connection with its sellers that matters most to her.

Helen lives on Dartmoor, in a National Park where the landscape holds its beauty across every season. Here, she enjoys gardening, swimming, walking her dogs, and spending time with her family. She also likes to travel to Corfu as often as she can.
