Richard Speedy

After many years in St Leonards, Exeter, Richard brings strong local insight to his role as Senior Director and Head of the South West, South Coast, and West Midlands. Richard began his property career in 2004 in Wimbledon Village, where he quickly developed a passion for the fast-paced nature of estate agency and gravitated towards areas that offer both affluence and green space.  Since joining Strutt & Parker in 2015, he’s built a reputation for expertise in the high-end country house market across Devon, Somerset, Cornwall, and West Dorset. Based in the Exeter office, he brings extensive experience from his previous role as Head of Waterside and deep knowledge of the West Country. This enables him to offer clients a nuanced understanding of the region's diverse property landscape. His strengths are negotiation, people management, and interpreting economic and political trends. Outside work, Richard enjoys family time, keeping active at the gym, and adventures in cars and on motorcycles with friends.
